This
lovely sea captain's home dates back to the early 1600s and
is nestled among chestnut trees on a knoll overlooking a pond. It is less than 3 miles from the Scorton Neck Beach on Cape Cod Bay and is about
midway between Sandwich and Barnstable along Route 6A. It has recently undergone major renovation to revitalise the historic features
and to provide a peaceful and romantic atmosphere. The bedrooms are individually decorated and most rooms have four poster canopy
king or queen beds, a fireplace, TV and air conditioning. Each of the bedrooms has an up to date whirlpool spa bathroom. A most unusual feature is a window halfway up the stairs that shows where brick
chimney flues from four fireplaces join into a single central
chimney. Polished hardwood floors with rugs, antiques and a piano. Enjoy a full country breakfast in the dining room or on the patio. Children over 12. |
