Our B & B in BrooklynBrooklyn is a rural village in the quiet, north-eastern corner of Connecticut, an area renowned for fine dining, art galleries, museums, vineyards, hiking and biking trails.  About 45 minutes from the maritime museum at Mystic Seaport, 3 hours from New York, 1 hour from Newport, Rhode Island, and about 75 minutes from Boston.  A delightful recently renovated 18th century, Colonial style country house, situated on 12 wooded acres divided up by dry stone walls and picket fences.  All the comforts of home are here, it is authentic and simply decorated with antiques, polished hardwood floors and rugs.  This old house has quite a history, it was once a stop on the underground railroad for escaped slaves and a local abolitionist was married in the front parlour in 1834.  The owners are local enthusiasts and will happily guide you to nearby scenic haunts.
