Cambridge is just across the Charles River from Boston.  It has a number of world famous universities, including MIT and Harvard, art galleries, libraries, restaurants and Harvard Square.  There is a good transport link into Boston with both the underground (the T), 4 stops to Boston Common, and bus services.

Just two streets away from Central Square underground train station, about a ten minute walk from Harvard Square.  Charming home, much care and thought has been given to restoring this lovely house.  Your host is a musician and also a concert and church organist.  This delightful semi-detached Victorian four room B & B offers very comfortable accommodation.  One double room with en suite (shower only).  One with brass double bed and adjoining room with two singles; these two rooms share a bathroom.  New double room downstairs with shower and WC.  Drawing room with antiques and grand piano.  Lovely breakfast consists of fresh fruit and delicious pastries and breads from bakery down the street.  Have you ever heard of chocolate chip scones?  They are unbelievable.  This is not recommended for those watching calories.  Some street parking.  Child friendly.

This friendly inn is very informal and more suited to the business traveller or tourist on a moderate budget.  Some rooms with en suite facilities, others with shared bathrooms.  Continental breakfast, self served, not many frills, but if you are in a hurry this is perfect.  Child friendly.

This colonial style inn is well situated, only a short walk from Harvard Square.  Delightful entrance with sweeping staircase, lovely dried flower arrangements, comfortable reading chairs.  Pleasant en suite bedrooms with colour cable TV, telephone and air conditioning.  Breakfast on the deck in summer, surrounded by potted plants, and in winter breakfast is served in the dining room.  Limited off street parking makes this a very popular venue.  Child friendly.
