Colonial style inn was built in 1810 as a whaling captain's home. It
was bombarded by the Royal Navy in 1814 and has quite a history and
now it is a comfortable B & B in the heart of Falmouth. You
can walk to the Surf Drive Beach, nearby shops and excellent restaurants
or hire a bike for a trip along the scenic bike path. Only 4
miles from the Aquarium and ferry to Martha's Vineyard at Woods Hole. It
is filled with antiques, old prints, braided rugs, patchwork quilts
and some four posters. The en suite bedrooms are divided between
the old inn and a newer building just across the private road and the
inn car park. There is an unheated and unattended swimming pool
