A Queen Anne house built in 1888 by a local businessman, whose shop was located on the block where L L Bean stands today, now owned by a couple of teachers, makes an excellent and spotless B & B. The house has recently been restored to its original elegance. Antique furnishings and tasteful, traditional decorating complement nineteenth century fixtures such as tin ceilings and carved mouldings. Each room is very comfortably furnished and is en suite (showers mostly). Guests have the use of the sitting room for relaxing.
