The list of activities available in this valley is endless. Ride the cog railway to the top of Mount Washington or take a cable car at one of the ski resorts in the valley, then hike along the Appalachian Trail at Pinkham Notch. Then canoe down the Saco River, or go white water rafting. You can drive the spectacular Kancamagus Highway to Lincoln, explore some of the small, pristine lakes of Ossipee and Conway and some of Maine's wonderful lakes - Kezar, Sebago and Long Lake. Tennis, fishing, swimming. The outlet shops and restaurants of North Conway. A mountain biker's, hiker's or golfer's paradise. |

Situated on Big Pea Porridge Pond, this warm, family home is full of character. The living room has wooden floors, rugs and a cathedral ceiling, with access to the full length deck, overlooking the lake. The dining area is part of the open plan and is separated from the well equipped kitchen by a breakfast bar. Down the hall there is a full bathroom, a bedroom with a double and one room with two sets of single bunks. Upstairs is the en suite queen bedroom, which has glass doors so that you can lie in bed in the morning and look out over the lake - it is stunning. Spot the loons through the telescope! Downstairs in the basement there is another bedroom with two singles, and a games room. Access out to the beach, outdoor furniture and BBQ. Canoe and life jackets. Owing to proximity to the lake there is no washer/dryer. (This home is pronounced Wood-ar-chick.) |
