| VERMONT - The Green State |
|

Heritage is immensely respected in Vermont. The historic villages,
farms and museums scattered through the mountain valleys are lovingly
preserved to provide a delightful 19th century ambience to the state.
The landscape is one of picturesque mountain villages, tall white churches,
lush dairy farms and glacial lakes. Winding mountain roads offer
magnificent views.
Recreation activities are endless: skiing, fishing, golf and hiking are
just a few that are on offer. Why not go 'leaf peeping' in the Fall
or enjoy the maple syrup in the Spring. Country fairs and festivals
are held in many towns, culminating in autumn harvest celebration suppers
of local produce, apple and blueberry pies, hay wagon rides and bonfires.
In Northern Vermont we have a beautifully restored hill
top farm near East
Burke, a meticulously restored B & B with a parrot in Waterbury,
a Federal style B & B in Vergennes and
a comfortable B & B on the Long Trail in Ripton.
In Central Vermont we offer a splendid hotel and resort
near Killington,
a traditional inn near Woodstock and
a traditional clapboard 1829 B & B or a good quality motor inn in Ludlow.
In Southern Vermont we have a Victorian inn in Saxtons
River and a delightful inn in Wilmington. |
