 Summer brings to this unique winter time ski resort an opportunity to relax in a magic setting, deep in the heart of New Hampshire's incredible White Mountain National Forest. The village is surrounded by breathtaking mountain views at the end of an 11 mile scenic winding road, just off Route I-93 North, 2½ hours from Boston and 6 hours from New York There are good shops, restaurants, entertainment and music festivals (July and August). If you enjoy the outdoor life, then you will find fishing, tennis, golf, swimming in both indoor and outdoor heated pools, mountain streams and ponds. There are 60 miles of well marked and maintained wooded trails for both mountain bikes and nature hikers, and a very well equipped Sports Centre. If you do not fancy all the exercise, this is a great base for exploring northern New England - or just lie back and enjoy the refreshing mountain air. Lake Winnipesaukee ¾ hour drive, Squam Lake about ½ hour. Outlet shopping at Tilton about ¾ hour.
The Waterville Valley Summer Unlimited Passport, included in your rent, entitles you to use the following amenities (see note below):
- Daily access to the White Mountain Athletic Club, including indoor and outdoor 25m pools plus selected fitness equipment, saunas and steam rooms
- Town of Waterville Valley Recreation Department Actitivities featuring: open gym, kids' night out, family recreation night, one day of summer camp for ages 4-12, extensive children's programme
- Outdoor tennis court time at the Waterville Valley Tennis Center - 18 clay courts
- One 9 hole round of midweek golf, per person, per day, in July and August (one 9 hole round per person, per operating day, May, June September and October)
- One hour of canoe or paddleboat rental, per person, per day
- Two hour mountain bike rental, per person, per day
- Use of the Waterville Valley 'Shuttle Bus'
- Guided walks up into the mountains
Chargeable activities include:
